Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

If I’m being honest, I’m not very adventurous with my perfume. In fact despite having a reasonable sized perfume collection, I have pretty much exclusively worn YSL Cinema for the last 10 years. It’s my signature scent – I wore it when I got married, I wore it when I met my husband, and I will be absolutely devastated if they ever discontinue it. Nothing has ever come close to touching the love I have for Cinema… until 2 months ago.

That’s when I picked up this little bottle of the VERY famous Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Yes I know the fragrance is 10 years old, and has been ridiculously popular, but I had never really given it a chance until now, and I love it almost as much as my beloved Cinema. It’s quite a sweet, sugary scent, with some sexy musky spiciness, presumably from the musk and patchouli base notes. It’s a very strong perfume that sticks around all day, and the scent develops beautifully on my skin.

I find it quite funny that I would never describe myself as being a fan of floral scents or heady perfumes, but my 2 favourites are rich, ridiculously heavy florals. Go figure.
