My feelings about Revlon Lip Butters are no secret – I think they are a reliable and easy to wear lip product that work well for days when I don’t want to think about my makeup. I am not passionate about them, and I was very happy with my little collection of 4 shades. Then I read this post over on Swatchgirl.com and all of a sudden I was lemming for Tutti Frutti. So I bought it. This is my review.
Revlon Lip Butter packaging is very consistent with Revlon’s branding, coming presented in cute “quilted” tubes, tinted a colour similar to the shade encased within, and with a handy clear top to more accurately see the shade of the product.
In the tube, Tutti Frutti is a straight-up safety cone orange.
When applied to my lips, Tutti Frutti sheers out, losing all of it’s “Scary” orange tones, and softens down into a summery, wearable orange-coral.
Like most, if not all of the Revlon Lip Butters, Tutti Frutti is not 100% opaque, which (in my opinion) makes it much easier to both apply and wear.
There is no doubt the texture of this Lip Butter (as I have found with all that I have tried) is very creamy. I can’t say I find it particularly hydrating, but it doesn’t dry my lips out, and is quite comfortable for as long as I am wearing it.
The wear time is not fantastic, it starts to fade after around 3 hours, and I definitely need to reapply after lunch or a cup of coffee.
