Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling Cherie – Review, Photos, Swatches

Product Breakdown:

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (mouthful much?) is the most recent addition to Revlon’s stable of lip products. Possibly inspired by the popularity of other “Chubby Stick” style products, these Balm Stains are supposed to hydrate like a balm, but leave a stain that lasts for hours.

The colour I’m reviewing today is Darling Cherie.

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Darling Cherie 2

Darling Cherie appears to be a soft violet in the tube that translates into a cool bubblegum pink shade on my lips.

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Darling Cherie 3

In my previous review of Sweetheart Valentine, I commented that these are pleasantly mint scented. Then I read Beauty and Bad Taste’s review. She mentioned that they smelled like dental floss, and you know what? They kind of do. Oh well, I quite like the smell of dental floss (that was a weird sentence).

Darling Cherie is quite waxy in texture, and offers a gentle flush of baby pink to my lips, very pretty for a neutral work-day look. I find this easy to apply without a mirror, without worrying about looking like the Joker.

Although I don’t find this formula to be hydrating at all, it doesn’t dry my lips out – when I remove it from my lips they feel exactly the same as they did before I applied it.
