Pink Ribbon Month – ghd inspired Makeover

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you probably know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today on Makeup Utopia, I am featuring a Face of the Day inspired by the Limited Edition 2012 Pink Ribbon ghd.

Full Face

As you may know, each year ghd releases a limited edition pink ribbon ghd styler with $20 of the purchase price being donated to Breast Cancer charities. In Australia this charity is NBCF. Breast Cancer touches so many lives, with often devastating results. I personally have a relative who passed away from breast cancer, leaving 3 children under the age of 5 without a mother. I gladly pay a premium for Pink Ribbon branded products, and when I bought my very first ghd ~5 years ago, it was that year’s Pink Ribbon styler.

This year, ghd has really out-done themselves on the design and packaging of their pink ribbon styler, with a stunning cherry blossom theme.

As soon as I saw the packaging, I knew I had to create a Face of the Day to reflect the cherry blossom design — here’s what I came up with:

P.S. If you want to create your own Pink Ribbon themed look, I’ve brought back the Makeup Utopia FOTD Challenge – with a gift for the most creative look!

Obviously I styled my hair with the ghd Pink Ribbon Styler. I would like to note that although this was gifted to me, I have donated $20 to the NBCF, and have purchased a Pink Ribbon ghd in the past. If you’re interested in picking up your own Cherry Blossom ghd, visit the website here.
