This article was born when I shared the above photo on Instagram the night before I jetted off for a week on the Gold Coast, and asked if anyone would be interested to know what makeup I was bringing with me.
I travelled to the Gold Coast to attend the ProBlogger Conference, a 2 day event that included a fancy, tropical themed evening function. It’s important for me to be well presented in the makeup stakes, because as a beauty blogger, makeup is a big part of how I brand myself.
My husband and daughter came with me for a family holiday, and we had pre-arranged 2 “nice” dinners. For the rest of the trip, there was a good chance that I would be wearing little to no makeup.
Typically when I travel, I pack much lighter than this, but here’s what I brought:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation
MAC Sculpting Creme in Pure Sculpture; Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Naked Rose and The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer
Lime Crime Aquataenia Palette; Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and Urban Decay Naked Palette
Rimmel Scandal-eyes Eyeliner in Nude and Taupe; Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners in Perversion, Electric and Asphyxia
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion; NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk; Smashbox Brow Tech to Go; Models Prefer Brow Highlighter Pencil; Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer; Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara; Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Lanolips “Apples” Lip Balm; MAC Lip Conditioner; Lime Crime Velveteen in Red Velvet; Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Grapevine
These are the face brushes I brought
These are the flat shader style brushes that came with me
These are the blender brushes I brought
And a few miscellaneous brushes
Makeup I wore to the first day for the ProBlogger Conference
The outfit I wore on the first day of the ProBlogger Event (I’m pregnant, not weirdly fat)
The makeup I wore to the tropical themed party
The amazing view from our hotel room
What makeup do you take when you travel? Have you used any of the makeup I brought with me? Let me know in the comments.
