Since we arrived in Holland, I’ve been ridiculously busy on a daily basis. I’ve been dealing with jetlag, kids with jetlag, sick kids, sick husband, and running a bunch of errands to get everything sorted in our new home.
With everything going on, I’ve had to perfect a quick and easy face that looks presentable (I’ve been meeting a lot of new people) and wears well. This selection of products has been ticking all the boxes, and I thought it would be an interesting exercise to do the “How much is my face worth?” tag.
I start with Illamasqua Hydra Veil Face Primer (35,79EURO/$48AUD). My skin has been very dry and stressed during the relocation, and Hydra Veil helps me to fake nourished, hydrated skin. I then work a pea-sized amount of Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream (33,50EURO/$55AUD) in Light into my skin. It evens out my skin tone without looking unnatural or feeling heavy.
I use my BECCA Dusty Rose Lip and Cheek Palette (~50EURO/$75AUD) to add some colour to my cheeks and some shine to the high points of my face. I use a fine angled brush to fill in my brows with MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Redhead (18EURO/$32AUD). I smudge a little Urban Decay 24/7 Liner Pencil in Mildew ($17,78 EURO/~$20AUD) along my lashline, and line my waterline with Illamasqua Colouring Pencil in Vow ($17,89EURO/$21AUD). I finish my eyes with lashings of Smashbox Eye Brightening Mascara (22,50EURO/$26AUD).
I finish the look off with a swipe of YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in #8 Fetish Pink (33,95EURO/$55AUD).
So, if I had to repurchase all these items, the grand total would be 229.41EURO
If I was in Australia and had to repurchase all these items, the grand total would be $332 Aussie dollars.
I’m a little surprised, I honestly thought it would be more than that, however, having said that, I haven’t really used a lot of products… and I haven’t counted skincare – figuring out the cost including skincare is a scary prospect!
