This week for M|U loves, I’m incredibly happy to be interviewing a lovely blogger who I have been following for years – well before I started blogging myself. Her name is Sheila, and her blog is Painted Ladies.
Tell me a bit about your blog?
Painted Ladies is a daily beauty blog that aims to educate, inspired, and empower its readers with makeup reviews and inspiration, along with beauty tutorials.
What is your favourite budget makeup brand? What is your favourite product from that brand?
My favorite budget makeup brand is NYX Cosmetics and my favorite product is their Butter Shine Lip Glosses. They feel like they should cost at least 2 times more.
What is your favourite luxe makeup brand? What is your favourite product from that brand?
My favorite luxe makeup brand is Hourglass Cosmetics which offers simply stunning packaging and high quality products that stand the test of time. My favorite Hourglass product is their Ambient Lighting Powder.
What is your favourite indie makeup brand? What is your favourite product from that brand?
My favorite indie brand is Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics which offers gorgeous mineral eyeshadows. My favorite shadow is a gorgeous pumpkin called Thai Silk.
What’s your makeup crack? Are you a lipstick lover, a blush junkie, a mascara maven, or is it another product that floats your boat?
I am a certified eyeshadow hoarder!
So, be honest, how many lipsticks do you own?
Way too many to count, but higher than 300 and less than 1,000.
Tell me your best makeup secret, tip or trick.
My trick to making makeup last is to use a setting spray to finish off a look. My favorite sprays are Urban Decay’s All Nighter and elf Cosmetics Misting Spray.
Everyone has a dirty beauty confession – what’s yours?
As a busy mom I must confess that I often fall asleep with a full face of makeup on!
I personally love visiting Sheila over at Painted Ladies when I’m looking for inspiration for great eyeshadow colour combinations. Visit her website, or pick your favourite social media network and follow her there – be sure to tell her I say hi!
