Makeup Utopia The perfect destination for lovers of makeup
Product Breakdown:
Lip silk is a luxuriously packaged lip balm that contains all the good stuff to ensure lips are kissable for summer. It also smells divine.
Although not technically makeup, I find that most of my lipsticks sit better on well hydrated, smooth lips.
Pigmentation:
In the container it seems to have a slight peachy/pink tone, but being more of a balm than a gloss it actually goes on colourless.
Ease of application:
I have a real issue with most lip balms in pots, I hate that in order to get my finger in to swipe the product it often means dunking my nail in the balm. This is thankfully not the case here. Because it is flatter than more lip balms I am able to obtain the perfect amount without risk by grabbing a nail full.
Longevity:
The Lip Silk itself is almost immediately absorbed, but the moisturizing effects are considerably longer lasting.
Packaging:
As with all MOR products, this is elegantly packaged and screams luxury. In particular this lip silk has the most adorable hand bag for exterior packaging and a brilliantly sturdy acrylic container for the actual product.

Anything else worth mentioning?:
I’m fussy about lip balms, I often find they are great initially but after a while feel almost greasy on my lip line. This is particularly true of many higher end brands, I didn’t hold out much mope for this one, however, I applied it and waited. Then I completely forgot, but I could certainly still feel my lips were softer. You’ve got to love a product, that does its job without you noticing.

The Fragrance
Belladonna presents a Spring symphony of White Narcissus, Moroccan Rose and Pink Tulips enlivened with a sparkling mist of Meyer Lemon. Finally it is sweetened with a touch of French Cassis, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk to leave a trace of tender warmth
My verdict:
Lip balm is a fact of life for most of us, having always lived in cold climates I’ve tried more than my fair share. It’s hard to get past the feeling a bit childish while applying it from a stick, and as I say, most pot forms annoy me, however, this is a lip balm for grown up ladies, and I wouldn’t think twice about using it in public, it feels lovely, smell fantastic, does the job well and looks elegant. Win win all round.
