The MAC Extra Dimension eyeshadows are a cream/powder hybrid formula that is creamy, silky smooth and buttery. Today I’m reviewing 2 of the most wearable eyeshadow shades: Sweet Heat, a soft peachy neutral; and Rich Core, a deep, moody eggplant.
Ease of application:
The cream-powder formulation of these shadows mean they glide onto your skin buttery smooth, and blend out like a dream. It is a cinch to achieve a beautiful single shadow look, or to seamlessly blend a multi-shadow look.
When applied over a good eye primer (I use Urban Decay Primer Potion) these last all day and all night. On bare eyelids they last quite well, but I did notice a tendency to crease slightly after around 6 hours.
These eyeshadows come in standard MAC packaging – a round black compact with a clear lid. What makes the presentation of these eyeshadows so incredibly beautiful is the product itself. The eyeshadow pans in the Extra Dimension collection are pressed into an intricate, wave-like design that takes my breath away.
Please note: the colours in the shaded pictures are quite true to life. The sunlight really threw the colours off.
What they say:
Introducing a new liquid-powder hybrid formula with prismatic reflections that instantly sculpts, highlights and models the face to the desired effect – Extra Dimension. Two formulas to try: The three shades of Extra Dimension Skinfinish and the ten shimmering tints of Extra Dimension Eyeshadow. This cool, creamy, silky, near-fluid formula creates a luminous, visually arresting, well-defined finish.
