L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation – Review, Photos, Swatches

Pigmentation:

L’Oreal Lumi Magique offers a medium level of coverage, but is very buildable to full coverage. I find it does a great job of evening out my skin tone, and disguising most redness, however I do definitely need to pair this with a concealer when I wear it.

Lumi Bare Faced
Here I am with no makeup on whatsoever. Please excuse the slack-jawed look – I had a cold and couldn’t breathe through my nose! You can see the general redness in my skin, and if you look closely, you can see the big pimple above my eyebrow (my left, your right).

Lumi Face Swatch
Here I am again, this time with L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation in shade N1 Pure Pearl, and no other makeup. You can see that my skin looks a lot more even, the ruddiness is gone, but the pimple is still evident. I don’t necessarily LOOK like I’m wearing foundation, but my skin looks a lot better.

Lumi Full Face Makeup
Here I am again with a full face of makeup. All I really did was add some concealer, draw in my eyebrows, add blush, lipstick and a lick of mascara. My skin looks great, but it still looks like skin, not like makeup.

Ease of application:

This foundation was a dream to apply. I have had equal success applying it with my fingers, a buffing brush, a stippling brush and a beauty pod. It doesn’t dry down too quickly, so I found I had plenty of time to blend it, and it never looks overdone or cakey.

The texture is quite fluid out of the pump:

and blends out smoothly:

Longevity:

This foundation claims a 12 hour wear, which I honestly can’t comment on. I have worn it for 8 hour stretches and found it still looked great when I went to remove it. I haven’t noticed any issues with it splitting or pooling in my pores.

Packaging:

Lumi Foundation

L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation is packaged in a pleasantly weighty glass bottle, giving it a somewhat expensive feel. This foundation dispenses from a hygienic pump, and I find that one pump of product is the perfect amount to do my whole face.

Anything else worth mentioning?:

I was provided a bottle of this foundation for editorial consideration, however it was much too dark for me. After giving it to my mother, and seeing the beautiful finish, I purchased a bottle in my own shade.
