Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminators – Review, Photos, Swatches

Product Breakdown:

The Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminators come in four shades:

  • Angel Mist (warm off-white)
  • Angel Blush (soft pink)
  • Angel Flame (deeper pink)
  • Angel Glow (bronze)

I have Angel Mist and Angel Glow to review and swatch for you.

Angel Mist is very delicately pigmented. Ideally used as a highlighting colour, it doesn’t so much provide pigmentation as an almost invisible opalescence.

Angel Glow on the other hand is quite heavily pigmented. Because it is ideally used as a bronzing product, I need to use a very light touch when applying it to my lily-white skin. I find the easiest way to keep the pigmentation of Angel Glow under control is to mix it with some primer, foundation or body moisturiser before applying it.

Ease of application:

Both Angel Mist and Angel Glow are a breeze to apply, although the rich pigmentation of Angel Glow means I need to use a light touch. Using the pads of your fingers, pat a small amount of product onto your skin.

The formulation melts into liquid or cream products beautifully, but I would suggest using caution when applying these over powder.

I get all-day lasting power out of both Angel Mist and Angel Glow.

I like the packaging of these illuminators. They are housed in a simple squeezy tube – simple to dispense and use, and most importantly, hygienic.

It is also worth mentioning that these are MASSIVE for a facial product. Each tube contains 50mL (1.7 fl.oz). That may not sound like a lot, but to put it in perspective, a standard foundation is 30mL or 1 fl.oz. This is almost twice that size!
