Ease of application:
The texture of this primer is somewhere between a cream and a lotion. It is quite lightweight and blends easily into the skin.
Depending on the condition of my skin, I apply a half a pea sized amount to clean fingers, dot this all over my face and rub it in. Too easy.
Longevity:
This primer noticeably increases the wear time of my foundations. My skin can be quite thirsty, and tends to drink all the moisture out of foundation, leaving unattractive pockets of pigments in my pores. I feel like this primer creates an effective barrier, leaving the integrity of my foundation intact.

Anything else worth mentioning?:
Once I have applied this, my skin feels soft and silky but not to the extent that an extreme silicone primer (Smashbox Photo Finish for example) can feel. Unlike these very silicone-y primers, I can wear Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer for as many consecutive days as I want, without experiencing any breakouts.
What they say:
The Estée Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer is a luminous finish primer that instantly awakens dull skin illuminating and highlighting skin with radiant dewiness. The modern hydro-gel texture immediately adds brightness, luminosity and radiance as it conditions so make-up looks smooth and fresh. The Illuminating Primer contains soft-reflection optics to enhance the look of skin’s translucency and smoothes the look of pores and imperfections to create an even, supple canvas, while special hydrators, vitamin E, rice bran extract and shea butter nourish and protect.
