In the tube, this Ere Perez Lip Bar in HOPE looks like a scary/awesome shade of purple lipstick, however Ere Perez Lip Bars are definitely not a lipstick. I would describe them more as a lip stain/lip balm hybrid, that impart the sheerest hint of juicy colour. This intense purple translates on my lips as the subtlest hint of berry, that has become one of my favourite MLBB (my lips but better) shades.
Ease of application:
Because of the sheerness of the tint, Ere Perez Lip Bars are extremely easy to apply, you don’t even need a mirror to make it look like you know how to colour between your lip lines!
It’s very comfortable to wear. This product hydrates your lips without feeling at all sticky or waxy, and is incredibly lightweight.
Although I definitely wouldn’t describe this as a long wearing product, it doesn’t require reapplication too frequently. The shine and glossiness does disappear fairly quickly, after maybe half an hour, however the stain effect does stick around for a few hours.
If you apply this in the morning, you’ll definitely need to bring it with you for reapplication during the day, but it feels so delicious on your lips, that you’ll want to keep reapplying anyway!
Like the Olive Oil Lipsticks I reviewed earlier this year, the Ere Perez lipsticks are packaged in a clean, simple cream coloured tube with a black band. It’s nothing fancy, but it reflects the philosophy of the brand quite nicely.
